Lexington, KY

This senior affordable housing community consists of 132-units operating under a project based Section 8 HAP contract. This property was built in 1983 and acquired in 2021 with the allocation of approximately $19.8M in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and Tax-Exempt Bonds.

The rehabilitation consisted of a full renovation of all 92 units and a new construction building consisting of 40 additional units and community gathering areas. The existing building’s renovation included upgrading the kitchens and bathrooms. This includes new Energy Star stainless steel appliances, new vinyl plank flooring, new low threshold showers, new cabinets, and quartz countertops. The scope also included an updated community room, roof, and window replacement, refurbishing of the building envelope, including updating the balconies, parking lot resurfacing, office and common area updates, and LED enhanced lighting and new paint throughout the building.
